Privacy Policy

How Chi'llywood handles account, profile, channel, upload, room, support, billing, diagnostics, and safety data.

This Privacy Policy explains how Chi'llywood collects, uses, shares, retains, and protects information for accounts, Profiles, Channels, creator uploads, posts, comments, files, links, Watch-Party, Live Stage, Chi'lly Chat, Premium, reports, support, copyright, and safety operations.

1. Information Chi'llywood Collects

Chi'llywood may collect:

  • account information, including email address, authentication identifiers, account settings, and legal acceptance records;
  • Profile and Channel information, including display name, handle, bio, images, public identity settings, creator/channel details, audience relationships, and visibility settings;
  • uploaded content, including creator videos, thumbnails, titles, descriptions, visibility, metadata, storage paths, file type, file size, links, attachments, and files you choose to upload;
  • posts, comments, replies, messages, chat metadata, support requests, report notes, copyright notices, counter-notices, and other text you submit;
  • Watch-Party, Live Stage, and room participation metadata, including room id, host, participant membership, role, source type, source id, playback state, join/leave/rejoin state, and live-session connection information;
  • camera and microphone permission state and real-time media transport data when you use live, call, or room features;
  • device, app, runtime, network, crash, performance, analytics, log, and security data;
  • payment, Premium, subscription, entitlement, restore, cancellation, refund, or chargeback status from Google Play, Apple, RevenueCat, Supabase, or another approved provider where active;
  • reports, moderation records, admin review context, copyright records, safety records, fraud records, support communications, and account deletion requests;
  • approximate location or region if collected through app stores, payment providers, logs, network data, fraud prevention, analytics, or SDK behavior;
  • push notification tokens, notification preferences, delivery attempts, and activity records if notifications are enabled.

2. How Chi'llywood Uses Information

Chi'llywood uses information to:

  • create, authenticate, secure, and maintain accounts;
  • show Profiles, Channels, public creator content, posts, comments, links, files, and social activity according to visibility rules;
  • operate creator uploads, Player, Watch-Party, Live Stage, LiveKit/HLS, Chi'lly Chat, support, notifications, and account settings;
  • deliver messages, calls, room membership, playback sync, live media, alerts, and service notices;
  • process Premium/subscription status, restore access, entitlement checks, cancellations, refunds, chargebacks, and billing support where active;
  • review reports, abuse, copyright notices, counter-notices, fraud, safety issues, support requests, and account deletion requests;
  • detect and prevent illegal content, harassment, impersonation, copyright infringement, scams, spam, malware, account compromise, fake engagement, payout abuse, sponsorship fraud, and platform manipulation;
  • provide customer support and troubleshoot bugs;
  • run analytics, crash reporting, performance monitoring, security monitoring, abuse prevention, and service improvement;
  • comply with legal obligations and protect users, rights holders, service providers, Chi'llywood, and the public.

3. How Information Is Shared

Chi'llywood may share information:

  • with service providers that host, store, authenticate, stream, transcode, deliver, monitor, analyze, bill, support, secure, moderate, or operate the service;
  • with Supabase for authentication, database, storage, edge functions, RLS-backed access control, reports, uploads, and support data;
  • with LiveKit and related media infrastructure for real-time audio/video sessions and room connection state;
  • with RevenueCat, Google Play, Apple, app stores, and payment/entitlement providers for Premium, restore, billing, refund, chargeback, and subscription support where active;
  • with Firebase/Google, Expo/EAS, analytics, crash, performance, diagnostics, notification, storage/CDN, email, legal, support, fraud, payment, or payout providers where used;
  • with other users when you make information visible through public Profiles, Channels, public uploads, posts, comments, rooms, live sessions, chat threads, or other social features;
  • with moderators, operators, legal reviewers, copyright reviewers, support staff, fraud reviewers, or safety reviewers when needed;
  • with law enforcement, courts, regulators, rights holders, or legal process where required or appropriate;
  • during a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar transaction.

Chi'llywood does not currently state that it sells personal information. If future ad technology, tracking, or data-sharing practices qualify as a sale or sharing under applicable law, this policy and user controls must be updated before launch of that practice.

4. User Controls

Depending on the implemented feature, you may be able to:

  • update account, Profile, Channel, and creator content settings;
  • change public/private visibility settings where available;
  • delete, unpublish, or edit certain creator uploads or posts where supported;
  • manage notification preferences;
  • report content, users, comments, rooms, chat behavior, safety issues, or copyright concerns;
  • block or restrict interactions where implemented;
  • request account deletion or data review through the account deletion process;
  • request access, correction, deletion, or opt-out rights where applicable law gives you those rights.

Some controls may depend on account status, region, release phase, backend support, legal review, or operational readiness.

5. Account Deletion

The current app has an in-app Settings path for account deletion information and a public account deletion URL fallback:

The account deletion flow is request-based unless a self-serve deletion portal is separately built and proved. Some information may be retained where needed for legal compliance, safety, fraud prevention, chargebacks, refunds, tax, accounting, copyright, moderation, abuse prevention, dispute resolution, security, logs, or backups.

Google Play account deletion compliance must not be marked complete until both the in-app deletion path and public web deletion link are verified in the release build and accepted in Play Console.

6. Children

Chi'llywood's launch posture is 18+. Chi'llywood is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly allow users under 18. If Chi'llywood learns it collected personal information from a child under 13, or from a minor who is not allowed to use the service, Chi'llywood will delete or disable the account/data as required by law and operational process.

7. Retention

Chi'llywood keeps information only as long as reasonably needed for operations, account support, service delivery, safety, fraud prevention, copyright, moderation, legal compliance, chargebacks, refunds, tax, accounting, audit, security, dispute resolution, backups, or enforcement.

Deleted content may remain in backups, logs, safety records, legal records, copyright records, billing records, support records, or already-shared contexts for a limited time or longer where required.

8. Security

Chi'llywood uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No system is perfectly secure. Chi'llywood cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or security incidents will never happen.

9. International Users

If Chi'llywood is made available outside the United States, information may be processed in countries with different privacy laws. International transfer, GDPR, UK GDPR, EEA, and other regional privacy language must be confirmed by legal counsel before broader rollout.
